Access 180 Computer Lab
We need those who love people and are computer knowledgeable to work in our community computer lab Monday-Thursday from 9am-2pm. Volunteers interested in this opportunity will have to submit a resume and come in for an interview. This volunteer position includes helping people with computer usage (e.g: online applications, resume template, e-mail, etc.), answer questions individuals may have about applications and resumes, perform basic updates to computers, and the occasional cleaning of the lab.
Career Readiness Speakers or Interviewers
We are always looking for HR, managers, and supervisors to speak to our Career Connection classes. Also those managers & HR that would be willing to give our students some constructive feedback on how to improve themselves in an interview. Come share your experience & wisdom of the workplace with our students!
Individuals with business or corporate backgrounds are preferred. Experience with fund development or marketing, an outgoing personality, and love for people are key qualities for this position. This is a part-time volunteer opportunity that may evolve into a full-time paid position. Resume and interview are required.
Social Media Reporter
Person with expertise and experience working with social media design, posting, management, and campaigns. Experience with business or nonprofits is an asset, but not a requirement. Grasp of spelling and grammar is essential with ability to craft messaging into social media language and design. Social media outlets are currently Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, and YouTube. Opportunity to expand The Refuge's social media footprint is available. Qualified candidate may have opportunity to develop this into an employment position with The Refuge.
